I like monumental woodcuts because of it being an extroverted art form.  To quote Leonard Baskin,  “monumentality makes it an art of witness”  Creating large images quickly communicates my ideas to others and is a direct reflection of who I am.  I like to think big — therefore I work big.  This invariably leads to a whole bunch of carving in a studio filled with big prints, which is totally awesome!
