This woodblock print illustrates an Atlantic Puffin in mid-flight. The soft background creates a sense of depth, while the mark-making in the puffin’s body draws the eye inward to admire the small details. This piece may conjure illusions of the North Sea, and it is the perfect complement to any nature-themed room.

Ink is applied to a hand-carved wooden block and pressed onto Strathmore 300 Series paper.

The artist will donate 15% of the proceeds from Into Thin Air to the Audubon Seabird Institute. The institute’s mission is to advance the science of seabird conservation while encouraging the protection and appreciation of seabird habitats worldwide.
