Mooseberry

I once encountered a moose while exploring the Quabbin Reservoir in Belchertown, MA. At first, I thought it was a trick of the eye—perhaps light cascading through the canopy onto a fallen tree—but it was a moose standing just fifty feet away. We both stood perfectly still for thirty seconds, a rare moment where time seemed to stop as we observed each other. I created this piece to reimagine that forest ambassador wearing a crown of leaves and strawberries.
