This avian minstrel was a lot of fun to create! The piece is inspired by a Stellar’s Jay. These plucky birds are native to Western North American and the Mountains of Central American.
The artist applies ink to a hand-carved wooden block.
And presses it onto Japanese-made Moonpeach paper.
